Supporting IMA
The Development Program at IMA focuses on building relationships
between the School and its constituencies, to engage our community
in advancing the mission of IMA. The Board of Directors will work
closely with the Head of School to establish and implement fundraising
policies and goals.
We invite you to learn more about our giving opportunities and
how your participation indeed does make a valuable difference.
There are a number of ways to be an IMA
supporter, including giving online.
We are a 501(c)(3), non-profit Florida Corporation.
St. Mark's Episcopal Church
As
many Islanders know, St. Mark’s has always been committed to children
and their families. Since its inception in 1968, St. Mark’s Nursery
School and the educational program successors, including the Learning
Center, have been a cornerstone of the Marco community. Today
in its new phase, St. Mark’s has opened its doors to a new opportunity
by giving us the physical space to begin and grow in Harper Hall.
Although the relationship is strictly as lessee and tenant, IMA
and SMEC will work cooperatively to maintain a positive educational
program and environment for the children of Marco Island.
Community Service
In this, our first year, we hope to find educational experiences
for our students, which will have a positive impact on the community
of Marco Island. These experiences will undoubtedly affect our
students’ lives, and reinforce our dedication to help our students
learn to view themselves as contributing members of a diverse
global community. Thoughts and suggestions from the community
are always welcome.
Volunteers
Island Montessori Academy welcomes parent and community volunteers.
Please contact our offices if you are interested in helping with
classroom projects, have an expertise you would like to share,
or are able to substitute as needed.
